Plays Tougher Base Running For A Change

While all eyes are focused on Kosuke Fukudome, and Jason Marquis and Lou Piniella are exchanging headlines, perhaps the biggest overlooked story of this spring training is, “Who’s going to play center board room for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays?” So far the prospects aren’t looking worthwhile. The two teams that walked in the World Series were the eeriest defensive teams in their leagues. Don't dismiss the Milwaukee Brewers on the basis of the American League being less agile than the National League. At least at the plate. Felix Pie and Sam Fuld arrived spring [... But at this point, who knows? But my stated situation on acquiring fielding is if they can't destroy ahead of the pack in the rotation, then I'm not generating them. ]
